Buyer’s Guide to Choosing Face Masks

Face masks are available for general hygiene, medical, workplace and respiratory-protection applications. Insinc’s range includes three-ply ear-loop masks, Type IIR medical masks, KN95, FFP2 and P2 respirators, children’s masks and clear face shields.

Products are supplied in smaller packs and bulk cartons, making them suitable for clinics, workplaces, schools, cleaning teams and industrial environments.

Medical Mask or Respirator?

Three-ply hygiene and medical masks suit routine applications where a lightweight disposable face covering is required. Type IIR masks are available in packs of 50 or commercial cartons for higher-volume use.

KN95, FFP2 and P2 products are respirator-style masks intended for different workplace or respiratory-protection requirements. Check the product certification, fit, headband or ear-loop design and whether the mask is valved or non-valved before ordering.

How Do You Choose the Correct Face Mask?

Select a mask according to the specific hazard and workplace requirements rather than appearance alone. The mask should fit securely over the nose, mouth and chin without large gaps. Children’s masks are sized for ages four to ten and are available in several printed designs.

Disposable masks should be replaced when damp, damaged, soiled or difficult to breathe through. Face shields can provide additional facial coverage but should not automatically be treated as a replacement for a suitable mask or respirator.
