Resealable bags provide convenient storage and packaging for snacks, sandwiches, ingredients and small food-service items. Their click-seal or zip-lock closure allows the bag to be opened and closed repeatedly while helping keep the contents contained.

Insinc’s range includes compostable storage bags and conventional plastic resealable bags in sizes from 62mm x 75mm to 305mm x 440mm. Options are available in 40, 50 and heavy-duty 70-micron thicknesses.

Compostable or Plastic Resealable Bags?

Compostable options include snack, sandwich and larger storage bags from Ecopack, Ecobags and Vegware. Compostability depends on the product’s certification and whether the packaging is accepted by your local commercial composting facility.

Plastic resealable bags are available in a much wider range of sizes and thicknesses. They suit businesses needing clear, durable packaging for portioning, organisation and storage but should not be confused with biodegradable or compostable bags.

Which Size and Thickness Should You Choose?

Small 40-micron bags suit lightweight items, samples, garnishes and small portions. Medium and large 50-micron bags provide additional capacity and thickness for everyday storage, while 70-micron bags are designed for applications requiring a heavier-duty option.

Match the width and length to the contents and allow enough room to close the seal without overfilling. Smaller quantities are available for selected sizes, while bulk users can choose cartons containing 500 or 1,000 bags.
