Buyer’s Guide to Choosing Eye Protection

Safety glasses, goggles and face visors help protect the eyes and face from flying particles, splashes, dust and selected workplace hazards. Insinc’s range includes clear, amber, smoke, mirrored and polarised safety glasses, vented goggles, chemical splash goggles, welding lenses, overspecs and visor systems.

Options include Esko, Bastion and 3M products, with selected styles available individually or in workplace packs of 5, 10 or 12.

Safety Glasses, Goggles or Face Visors?

Safety glasses suit many general impact and workplace tasks, while foam-sealed styles provide closer coverage around the eyes. Overspecs are designed to fit over selected prescription glasses, and bifocal safety glasses include magnification strengths from x1.0 to x3.0 for detailed work.

Goggles provide more enclosed eye coverage and include vented, anti-fog, heat-resistant and chemical splash options. Face visors and browguard systems extend coverage across more of the face but may still need to be worn with suitable safety glasses or goggles.

Which Lens Type Should You Choose?

Clear lenses suit general indoor work, while smoke, bronze, mirrored and polarised lenses may be more suitable for bright outdoor conditions. Amber lenses can provide another option for selected lighting environments.

Shade 3 and Shade 5 products are listed for selected welding applications, but the correct shade must be matched to the specific task. Confirm the required impact rating, lens shade, chemical resistance and applicable safety standard before ordering.

Replacement lenses, foam gaskets, browguards, cords, pouches and sweatbands are also available for compatible products. Some items are obsolete or have restricted supply, so contact Insinc for current availability or alternatives.
