Buyer’s Guide to Choosing Face Shields
Face shields help protect the face from splashes, droplets, debris and other workplace hazards when selected for the intended task. Insinc’s range includes clear anti-fog disposable shields, CleanAIR UniMask systems, replacement visors and seals, powered-air sets, and specialised grinding shields.
Available configurations include elasticated head loops, single headbands and five-point harnesses. Visor options include cellulose propionate and polycarbonate in cylindrical or toric shapes, along with selected Shade 1, Shade 3 and Shade 5 visors.
Disposable Face Shield or Reusable UniMask?
Clear anti-fog face shields with elasticated head loops suit workplaces needing straightforward, disposable facial coverage. They are supplied in bulk cartons for facilities with regular hygiene or visitor-protection requirements.
CleanAIR UniMask products provide a reusable system with replaceable visors and textile face seals. Single-headband models offer a simpler fit, while five-point harness models distribute support across more areas of the head.
Which Visor Material Should You Choose?
Cellulose propionate visors are identified in the range as chemical-resistant options, while polycarbonate visors are listed for impact resistance. Cylindrical and toric visor shapes provide different configurations, so compatibility with the selected UniMask system should be confirmed before ordering.
The Ready 2 Work AerGO and Chemical 2F sets combine UniMask equipment with powered-air systems. Omnira Air and Omnira COMBI Air options are available for grinding and specialised industrial applications.
Select face protection according to the specific splash, chemical, impact or grinding hazard. A face shield may need to be worn with safety glasses, respiratory protection or other PPE, depending on the workplace risk assessment.
